Swagman Current 2 Electric Bikes Rack Review - 2023 Tesla Model 3- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Swagman CURRENT two-bike platform style bike rack four e-bikes on a 2023 Tesla Model 3. Now this bike rack is gonna be a great option whether you have an inch and a quarter inch hitch or a two inch hitch, because it comes with the availability to be able to be used in both configurations. Now being that this is rated for e-bikes that means that generally your e-bikes are gonna be a little bit heavier, but this one's rated at 60 pounds per bike and you have two bikes. So with the weight of that plus two bikes loaded up as long as you're adhering to that weight it should be fine even on a class one hitch. So, and you can have your electric bikes right behind your electric car, and the name CURRENT kind of goes with that as well. And platform style bike racks, I'm a big fan of compared to your hanging style just because it's way more secure and you have three points of contact here that keep that in place. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Tesla Model Y- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at our Kuat Transfer platform-style bike rack and seeing how it fits on this 2022 Tesla Model Y. The Transfer, being a platform-style bike rack, holds the bike in these wheel cradles and primarily by our front tire, as you can see to the right. This is going to make it a great option for things like carbon frame bikes, like you see here, and alternative frame bikes. It can support a weight of 40 pounds per bike. So not the best option for our e-bikes, but it can hold up the three bikes. more

The Sherpa is going to be a two-bike platform style bike rack, capable of supporting two bikes up to 40 pounds a piece. It's going to hold onto our bike primarily with this front wheel hook here, as well as one additional strap down at the back. So if you want to use this with your carbon frame bikes you can, or maybe you have a really aggressive alternative style, or you just have a nice paint job. In any case, because it does hold it by that front tire, you're gonna be fine to get a bike on here as long as it is within 40 pounds, and a couple other restrictions that will get into in just a little bit. more

The MonoRail is a two-bike platform-style bike rack capable of sporting two bikes up to 60 pounds. It holds onto our bikes primarily with this wheel hook here in the front and one additional strap down here in the back, so if you wanna use this with your carbon frame bikes, you can, you maybe just have a really nice paint job and you wanna avoid that frame contact, for either case, you can do that, if you have an alternative frame-style bike, you'll avoid that as well, and it is rated for the weight of your heavy e-bike, so you can use those too. First feature that we're going to show off is the fact that it can tilt away with the bike loaded up, and I really like where the handle is located to tilt it away, 'cause it's in the front, and if I have another bike loaded up, I can just pull that anyway. And it tilts pretty aggressively. more

So the Destination E is designed for your heavy electric bikes. So most bike racks are limited to about 60 pound weight capacity if they're designed for electric bikes. Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at how the Kuat Piston Pro X fits on the 2018 Tesla Model 3. So this hitch was just recently installed on the Model 3, so that they can carry around some bike racks. Now, the Kuat Piston Pro X is an awesome bike rack, because of how you have the weight capacity, you are able to use the pistons, it has a fancy-schmancy way of opening up to load the bikes on and off and take them right back off. So very quick, very easy process, but also, it's a premium bike rack with premium features. So the first thing we'll take a look at, this is how it looks when you have it all folded up, you're able to open up your trunk if needed, you're not hitting that bike rack. If you do have the wiring added to your Tesla Model 3, you will be able to take advantage of the wiring on the bike rack. more

Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2020 Tesla Model 3, and we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium platform-style rack. So, if you're looking for a really good stylish rack to get two bikes to and fro, you found it. This is probably the best looking rack that we have here at etrailer, and I am not joking when I say that, but it's also super, super easy to use.So pretty much the limitations that you will have is one, we have a wheel base of about 50" we can't exceed. So even for the kiddos' bikes and stuff like that, we can use that, but just don't exceed that 50" wheel base. Another thing, we need to make sure that our wheels aren't going to be any more than 29", and any less than 26" for this to work, and then the wheel width needs to be less than 3". more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Tesla Model 3- Video
Collin: Hey guys! It's Collin here at e-trailer. Today, we have a 2019 Tesla Model Three and we're going to do a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2, Two Electric Bike Rack. Now, this is a platform style rack and it's got a very bolstered construction compared to the just normal a Sport Rider and that's going to be able to carry a gear up to two e-bikes to in front of your destination. It's going to be able to handle the weight very well. One thing I want to point out is that they do recommend removing the battery from your e-bike while you're going to, if you're going to travel with it on the back of your car. You can just throw that battery in your vehicle and then get it back out when you're ready to ride.Just like a lot of platform racks out there, this one can tilt away from the vehicle even with two heavier e-bikes loaded. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Tesla Model 3 NV22B-NA22B- Video
Today we have a 2018 Tesla Model 3. We're going to be doing a test fit on the Kuat NV 2.0 four bike platform-style rack, which is part number NV22B-NA22B.This four bike platform-style rack, is probably one of the most high quality and most durable four bike platform-style racks you're going to be able to find. It's make out of solid aluminum, except for the shank, which is solid steel of course. It grips your bikes very well. You can see that this bike is really not going anywhere.One of the cool features about this bike rack is that, if for an extended period of time you only have two bikes to take out, but you don't want to drag the extra length onto your vehicle, we can come right here and take off the two bike addition, which just slides in right here. If we come back here, we just take off this end-cap, and this little post, and the bolts are inside, you unscrew those, which are right here, and then you just pull off the addition, and put that end cap back on.Something to keep in mind is that, this bike rack because it's so durable, it does weigh a lot. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Tesla Model 3 TS01B- Video
Today, on our 2018 Tesla Model 3, we're gonna be test-fitting the Kuat Transfer One-bike Platform Rack, part number TS01B.And we have the bike in the rack set up on the Tesla for you, to give you a nice idea of how everything'll look installed. In just a moment, we'll kinda jump into some of the details and features, but first, I'd like to show you how the trunk can open and close with the bike in the rack installed.Now, depending on the style of your bike, in the upward position here, the trunk just barely clears it. So, depending on the size of your handlebars, it may or may not open. You don't really have to worry about that, because the rack actually tilts down by this foot pedal. And as you can see now, you have more than enough room to get in and out. And obviously, with our bike not installed on the rack, your trunk will function in either position.So, the bike is held down at two points by the rear wheel cradle and strap, the front tire cradle and front wheel hook. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Tesla Model 3 HR200Z- Video
Today, on our 2018 Tesla Model 3, we're gonna be test-fitting the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider, two bike platform rack, part number HR200Z.Now, we have the bike and rack installed on our Tesla to give you a good idea of how it would look. Before we dive into the details here, there is one thing I would like to show you guys. You have to keep in mind, with the bike and the rack installed, the trunk only is able to open a little bit. Now, depending on how wide or narrow your handlebars are, it might be a different scenario for you, but it's something to keep in mind. It will be possible to open it fully but we'll get to that here in a minute.The bike is held down in a few different points here. Down along the wheels it's held in by wheel straps as the wheels rest in the cradles there. more
